“Diane, 11:30 AM, February 24th. Entering the town of Twin Peaks, five miles south of the Canadian border, twelve miles west of the state line. I’ve never seen so many trees in my life."

This is our first Twin Peaks Day since the passing of two massive names regarding Twin Peaks music: Julee Cruise and Angelo Badalamenti. To honor their memory, I decided to go a little off my usual repertoire and play a few of my favorite pieces from Twin Peaks. So, if you ever wondered how these tunes would sound on solo piano, here they are. I am definitely not a jazz pianist, so please excuse my bland version of 'Audrey's Dance', as well as the absence of the classics 'Dance of the Dream Man' and 'The Bookhouse Boys'. Because of my focus on classical piano, my setlist ended up emphasizing the melodramatic aspects of Badalamenti's music – which is, of course, one of his strong suits.
